The Importance of Avoiding
stereotypes
John was a good-looking, 6'5', 250-pound African American man. He work as a partner in a large law firm. He likes jogging in his neighborhood at night after work. He is peaceful man but, some of the white American think every African American is dangerous.
John usually jogs in his neighborhood after work, but white American often crossed the street quickly. Also, the police patrol car stopped him several times and asked him for his identification and why he running such in a hurry? they some times think every African American is criminal !!
All of these things made John angry!. He always wondered why people think like this for him? he thought also, maybe they are racist or they heard stereotype about African American there are some of stereotype about them. For example, Murder, theft, rape, drug gangs. But all of these reason Is not convinced.
This is true, its so important not to judge people on stereotypes that may have nothing to do with the person at all. Good points!
