The Importance of Avoiding

stereotypes

         

      John was a good-looking, 6'5', 250-pound African American man. He work as a partner in a large law firm. He likes jogging in his neighborhood at night after work. He is peaceful man but, some of  the white American think every African American is dangerous.

       John usually jogs  in his neighborhood after work, but white American often crossed the street quickly. Also, the police patrol car stopped him several times and asked him for his identification and why he running such in a hurry? they some times think every African American is criminal !!

        All of these things made John angry!. He always wondered why people think like this for him? he thought also, maybe they are racist or they heard stereotype about African American there are some of stereotype about them. For example,  Murder, theft, rape, drug gangs. But all of these reason Is not convinced.

Qargeaan and Halloween

          what do you think the differences and similarity between Qargeaan and Halloween? it is the most common celebration in Saudi Arabia and U.S. both of them are almost for child. The Qargeaan similar and different with Halloween in several cases. 

        First, In Qargeaan we give candy and nuts to children. Qargeaan similar to Halloween in many things. Such as make concert for children with sweets, candy, nuts and meeting family and friends. and the children go outside and walk around home neighborhood and knock neighbors door to ask them candy.

       Second,  Qargeaan different with Halloween in several thing. Such as in Halloween people  Wearing strange clothes and scary. But in Qargeaan children wearing traditional old style clothes. In Qargeaan we celebrate for it in home and some time in our neighborhood. On the other hand, each cultural has special song for the celebration. 

        In essence, There are similarities and differences always between nations and civilizations.In the latter every state and every civilization boasts with its.Also every community in his own way to express these celebrations.
